Farmers Branch Tour of Holiday Lights - December 2-31, 2008
This driving tour starts at I-35E at Valley View and follows the candy cane
signs past City Hall and through the Farmers Branch Historical Park. 300,000
lights will shimmer in the December night. The Historical Park portion closed
every Monday and December 24, 25 and 31.   Free admission with donations
accepted


Old Fashioned Christmas at A.W. Perry Homestead Museum
– Dec. 5 –
6-8:30pm
Enjoy the first weekend in December with free Christmas celebrations in
Downtown Carrollton! Stop by the A.W. Perry Homestead Museum (1509 N.
Perry Road) from 6 to 8:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 5 for an Old-Fashioned
Christmas Celebration, including hot cider and cookies! Take a guided tour of
the historic home, let the kids make an old-fashioned tree ornament, and
listen as Victorian carolers stroll the grounds spreading holiday cheer.


Christmas on the Square
– Saturday, December 6th – 8am to dusk
Follow up the fun the next day at Christmas on the Square. Head over to the
Historic Downtown Carrollton Square from 8 a.m. to dusk on Saturday, Dec.
6. Start the day with the Boot Scootin' Santa 5K run and 1K family fun run
and take a photo with Santa, then stay until the trees are lit. Don’t miss the
stagecoach rides, western re-enactments, or the musical performances
throughout the day by local choir groups. There will be more than enough to
do, but make sure to write a letter to a soldier and check out the live
longhorns, aka reinsteers!

new made to order breakfast menu, on site photos with Santa and all the
family fun you can handle.

Grapevine - The North Pole Express begins running from the historic
downtown Grapevine Depot, which will be decorated with thousands of lights,
animated characters, and Christmas cheer.  Lots of Christmas fun and
activities, including a visit from Santa on board.  All tickets are $16.00 (age 2
and up).  Trains will run Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from Nov. 28
through Dec. 21; run times and availability vary by date so please check
website.


Holiday Lights at Frisco Fire Safety Town

Santa's Wonderland at Bass Pro Shops Classic Christmas

Description: Remember when Christmas was magical? Classic Christmas at
Bass Pro Shops does!  There are over 3500 square feet of holiday magic, all
for FREE! With elves, moving trains, arcades, crafts, and even a free photo
with Santa.

Trains at NorthPark
Date & Time: November 22 - January 4@ 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday-Saturday
and 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sundays
Early closing dates include December 31 (6 p.m.)

Cost: $5 for adults; $3 for children ages 2 to 12 years; $3 for seniors 65
years and older.  Children under 2 are admitted free of charge.
The exhibit is built around the personal train collection of Dallas resident Ban
Bywaters and includes more than 40 Lionel-type-O-Gauge trains.  Bywater's
vintage trains now chug along 2,500 feet of track at NorthPark Center past
American landmarks including the Golden Gate Bridge, Mount Rushmore, the
Mississippi River, Dallas' Reunion Tower, a 20-foot high Statue of Liberty,
Times Square, the White House and much more.  
This amazing, interactive exhibit in NorthPark Center is near the Boedeker
Street entrance between Neiman Marcus and Barney's New York, Level Two.
Valet parking available off the Boedeker entrance on Level Two. North
Central Expressway at Northwest Highway.
The Trains at NorthPark (TM) is a captivating exhibit built exclusively for
NorthPark Center.  Presented by Chase, 100% of the ticket proceeds benefit
Ronald McDonald House of Dallas, a home-away-from-home for families of
hospitalized children.

Plano Christmas Parade

Location: Parade begins at Plano Senior High School (corner of
Independence Pkwy and Park Blvd) and travels north on Independence to
Spring Creek Parkway
The 36th Annual Plano Christmas Parade is on it's way with holiday floats
galore and plenty of exciting local high school bands, and cheerleaders too!

trek.  Don't miss out on the great fun! The theme is "The Sights and Sounds
of Christmas".
